Fans witnessed a dramatic shift in the WWE Women's Championship at SummerSlam 2024 when Nia Jax defeated Bayley to claim the title. In a recent interview, the 40-year-old disclosed that a different challenge had been more demanding than winning the prestigious belt.
In the Queen of the Ring tournament at WWE King and Queen of the Ring in May 2024, the Irresistible Force advanced to the finals after defeating Naomi, Jade Cargill, and Bianca Belair. She ultimately triumphed over Lyra Valkyria to become Queen of the Ring and subsequently beat the Role Model at The Biggest Party of The Summer to claim the WWE Women's Championship.
In a recent interview with Screen Rant Plus, the WWE Superstar was asked which had been more difficult, winning Queen of the Ring or the Women's Championship. Nia Jax noted that winning Queen of the Ring was a harder accomplishment:
"The Queen of the Ring was (harder) to me, because it was a tournament and it was, there's so many brackets and you got to, I had to face so many different competitors, like incredible. I got Naomi, Jade Cargill, Bianca Belair, Lyra Valkyria. I mean, these are just like, these are top tier women in the division. So that was definitely a difficult phase to go through, but being able to get in the ring with Bayley, who is a seasoned veteran who knows how to work, who I've lost to more than I've beaten her in my career definitely tasted a little bit better, let's put it that way," she said. Nia Jax's upcoming challenger will be decided on WWE SmackDown this week
On last week's edition of Friday Night SmackDown both Naomi and Bayley expressed their desire to face the Irresistible Force for the Women's Championship. Jax said she would team up with Tiffany Stratton against The Glow and the Role Model, but added a condition.
Nia Jax declared that if the babyface tag team won, the contender for her title would be determined by who scored the fall. However, if Naomi or Bayley lost, the one to take the fall would be forced to leave SmackDown permanently.
Only time will tell if the 40-year-old WWE Women's Champion and The Buff Barbie will secure a big win over The Role Model and The Glow on the upcoming episode of the blue brand.
