One of the best changes WWE CCO Paul "Triple H" Levesque has made since he took over is the value he has given to superstars and their family time. After spending time off for a while, ring announcer and backstage interviewer Mike Rome will return to WWE NXT tonight.
Mike Rome moved from the company's main roster to NXT in 2024 but was noticeably absent of late, with Alicia Taylor filling in for him. After a brief stint on SmackDown, he moved to NXT, which allows him to stay close to his family. Him and his wife welcomed their first child earlier this month — Salem James Romero, which prompted him to take some much-needed time off.
Taking to X ahead of tonight's show, Mike Rome confirmed his return to NXT, where he will resume his usual role:
"Must be Tuesday in Orlando :) #WWENXT," he wrote.
Jade Cargill praises WWE for putting family above everything
Jade Cargill is currently one-half of the Women's Tag Team Champions. She did an interview for Stephanie Chase recently, during which she touched upon a bevy of topics. While part of AEW, Cargill had addressed how the company allowed her to spend time with her daughter.
She has the same sentiment with regard to WWE, as The Storm pointed to Paul "Triple H" Levesque understanding when she needs to be with her family:
"Being under Paul and his regime, he understands family. [...] I’m at a company that understands the priority that family has on your health, on your mental (health). They make sure we are there for the important things in your household. They understand that your family has to be there for you as well. I can say Paul and everybody else in the front office and Nick Khan, they make sure that family’s first." [From 6:28 onwards]
14-time World Champion Randy Orton also feels the same way, as he told Sportskeeda's Senior Editor Bill Apter recently that there is a sense of relief now that Vince McMahon is not running the show. Instead, Triple H gets that athletes need to be with family every now and again, and it is an integral part of one's lifetime.
