The match between Gunther and Damian Priest was an important one for both the stars. Damian certainly thought of the bout as a personal grudge showdown, considering how The Ring General had made his feelings about him known. As such, it was imperative for him to take back the World Heavyweight Title from Gunther.
The match started on an even footing, with the two stars doing their best to overcome each other. Their intensity led to both of them suffering a large number of hits, exhausting them. Out of nowhere, 43-year-old Finn Balor took advantage and attacked Damian outside the ring. Seizing the opportunity, Gunther took Damian into the ring and pinned him after a few attacks to take the win.

It should be noted that even Gunther did not seem pleased with Finn's interference, and proceeded to kick him down before turning his attention to Damian Priest. Nevertheless, it was this interference that caused a shift in the tide and helped The Ring General retain his WWE title.
As of now, it remains to be seen how WWE plans to take this storyline forward.

If there is one storyline he can work on in WWE, Shubhajit would book Roman Reigns’ future with The Bloodline following WrestleMania XL, where he lost to Cody Rhodes. He would have Reigns’ stablemates excommunicate him, laying the foundation for a gimmick change for the former. After Reigns’ exit from the faction, Shubhajit would portray him as an anti-hero trying hard to claw his way back up to the top.
