A 44-year-old veteran wrestler is hanging up his boots after a 23-year career in the wrestling business. His last match has been announced as well.
Josh Prohibition is a wrestler most fans are quite familiar with. The star has been a name in the indies for a long time, wrestling against top stars, and has held multiple titles over what has been in many ways an underrated career. His official debut was in 2001, although he was already wrestling in backyards around 1999.
During his long his career, he has wrestled with the likes of Sami Zayn, Britt Baker, Candice LeRae, Eddie Kingston, Seth Rollins, The Young Bucks, and many others.
Now, the wrestler has finally decided to bring an end to his career. He announced that he would be retiring this Friday. He will be wrestling a former rival, Matt Cross, at the AIW show in Cleveland in his last-ever match.
Cross interfered in one of his matches, resulting in the wrestler losing. Prohibition had enough and called him out for one last match.
"I'm a broken-down piece of meat, Matt. And this is all I have left, and you're going to steal my glory from me? So here it is, May 24. It's it. I'm done. I've never used the word retired in my life. May 24th is my last match. Cleveland, Ohio, Tempe Live. One more time, Matt Cross, Josh Prohibition. This is the swansong, and I'm going out with a bang."
Josh Prohibition has one last wrestling match left in him
At the AIW match, Prohibition will be out to prove that he has enough for one last match left in him as he looks to bring an end to a huge career in the industry.
He noted in a special message to the fans that he had been here through every tragedy in his life, and that his scars told his story.
Given his veteran experience and his ability, the star will want to make a mark. He previously had to hang up his boots due to a concussion long back, but he returned once more and ended up with a 23-year career in the business.
