Dominik Mysterio shockingly betrayed Rhea Ripley for Liv Morgan at WWE SummerSlam and helped the latter retain the Women's World Championship. Wrestling veteran Francine has explained why that needed to happen.
Mami and Dirty Dom used to be together, but Liv started pursuing him during The Eradicator's hiatus following WrestleMania 40. Morgan said she was initially after the former NXT North American Champion because she wanted to take him from Rhea, but she seemingly ended up falling for him. Dominik helped Liv emerge victorious at The Biggest Party of the Summer, and the latter became the newest member of Judgment Day.
Speaking on the Eyes Up Here podcast, WWE and ECW alumni Francine stated that Dominik Mysterio had to turn on Rhea Ripley because he was a major heel while she was a babyface, and she thought that he was bringing her down.

"I thought Dominik played his role well and think about it; it's hard when you have a duo that they cheer for one and boo for the other, so what are you going to do? You've got to turn that one guy heel. Rhea is a babyface. Dom was bringing her down. Even though I saw the spoiler, I could see this a mile away. Think about it. It's hard, only because I liked the angle, I liked the advancement, and I want to see where this goes. I think it was a four-star match. I just enjoyed it as a fan. It's pretty good. Rhea Ripley is not done with Liv Morgan yet
Even though Liv Morgan finally completed her revenge tour by walking out of WWE SummerSlam with Mami's ex-boyfriend Dominik and the Women's World Championship, the feud between the two women isn't over yet. Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest are no longer in The Judgment Day, while Morgan is now part of the group.
