A wave of disappointment washed over the WWE Universe after Dijak shockingly announced that he would be parting ways with the Stamford-based promotion. This news caught ECW legend Tommy Dreamer's attention.

Dijak served mainly on the NXT brand. He did have a run on the main roster as T-Bar when he was a part of The Retribution faction led by Mustafa Ali, but the gimmick went south.

On social media, the star shared that his contract with the Stamford-based promotion ends on June 28. The former Retribution member claimed that WWE did not negotiate a new deal with him and that he was looking forward to future endeavors.

Meanwhile, on a recent episode of the Busted Open Radio, Tommy Dreamer spoke about the 37-year-old's departure from World Wrestling Entertainment. The ECW legend mentioned that Dijak leaving the Stamford-based company is probably good for him and questioned his booking on the NXT brand.

"[I've] spoken with him [and] I would say this is a great thing for him. He's talented, man. He's big. He can move. I don't know why they didn't do stuff with him. NXT was great for him," Dreamer said. [H/T: Wrestling Inc.]

Tommy Dreamer on what's possibly next for Dijak after WWE

When the former Retribution member declared his exit from WWE on X (formerly Twitter), he tagged Tommy Dreamer, AEW, Tony Khan, TNA Wrestling, and NJPW in the post.

During the same conversation, the 53-year-old legend stated that Dijak worked hard in the independent circuit. Hence, Dreamer believes the former NXT star would potentially land a deal with either TNA or AEW.

"He was a guy who busted his a** on the indies, busted his a** in Ring of Honor. He's one of those NXT people that has a buzz. He doesn't need to be developed. He has a path, he has this great look. ... I think he'll do really, really good out there on the indies and he'll land — if not with a TNA, then he'll land with an AEW," the veteran continued.
