Former WWE Superstar, Cherry recently discussed her relationship with a wrestling legend. She claimed that the Stamford-based promotion needed to induct the 45-year-old veteran into the Hall of Fame.

Mickie James had two runs in WWE, during which she won six world championships. Her second stint ended when she was released from her contract in 2021. Meanwhile, Hardcore Country also had enormous success in other promotions, especially TNA.

In a recent interview with Wrestling Then And Now, Cherry was asked to give her opinion on James. She praised the six-time champion for being an amazing person and a hard worker. Meanwhile, she stated that the current OVW Creative Director needed to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.

"Oh, legend, needs to be in the Hall of Fame. Overall, just amazing person, worker. I wrestled her on the indies. You know, I saw her in OVW. She was kind of in a different class going up. I mean, not surprised of her success at all. You know, talented, great person, works hard, work ethic, just gives back to other talent on her own time. Like, you know, incredible incredible person, funny, super funny and goofy and laughs at herself and, you know, great to be around," she said. [0:11 - 0:44]

Cherry also addressed her relationship with former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon

In her chat with Wrestling Then And Now, Cherry addressed her relationship with former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon as well. Despite all the negative stories surrounding the 79-year-old, Deuce n' Domino's former manager disclosed that he was nice to her.

The 49-year-old dubbed McMahon a "legend," disclosing that she was nervous about approaching him at first. She added that despite the rumors about his unfriendly nature, he had always been nice to everyone around her.

"Vince was, shockingly, very sweet and nice. So, I was a little nervous about approaching him. So, in legends, I mean, he's a legend really, you know, to be able to have the guts to kinda knock on his door and go in and have a conversation, to have him so gracious too. And everybody's like, 'Oh, he's such a d*ck. He's so this, that, and the other.' Not to me and not to other people," she said.

While Vince McMahon is no longer in WWE, veteran Jonathan Coachman recently suggested the former boss could finance his son, Shane, to start a new wrestling promotion. It would be interesting to see if that would happen.
