A former champion recently made a surprising revelation about still being under a contract with WWE. The name in question is Sid Eudy.
The former WCW World Heavyweight Champion fought under several ring names, including Sid Justice, Sid Vicious, Sycho Sid, and more throughout his career. He won many titles across different promotions in the 1990s. His last appearance inside a WWE ring was in a winning cause against Heath Slater in June 2012.
In a recent interview with the Attitude Era Podcast, Sid stated that he believes he has a better chance of getting inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame following Vince McMahon's departure from the company. He added that he is still under a contract with the global juggernaut and making some money:
"Vince [McMahon] didn't like me so much; I think that's why they haven't offered me that. But, with Vince being gone now, you'd think those people would say, 'Hey, this guy, we still got him on contract. He is still making a little bit of money. It would help him if we did that,' and it would help them as well. You would think they might want to do everything they could to promote something like that."

Sid then spoke about potentially rejoining the company and doing something on-screen:
"That might be something fun to start, too. If you get back in, you might want to do something like a part-time deal, [be a] manager, or special -- I think I was pretty good at interviews, too. There's always a lot of people having a hard time with that. If I could teach them, maybe I could help them do their interviews," he said. [H/T: Fightful]

Jim Ross explains why Sid Vicious did not have a long run with WWE
Sid had two spells with WWE between 1991-1992 and 1995-1997. For most of his career, the former WWF Champion was in or around the main event picture. He also main-evented WrestleMania on two separate occasions.
Speaking on one of his Grilling JR podcasts, Jim Ross stated that Sid's tolerance for travel and business in general at times might have let him down. The legendary commentator further wondered what could have been if Sid had managed to stay healthy and active for a longer period.
"Sometimes I think Sid, his tolerance for the travel, and his tolerance for the business in general at times, were not his strong suit. They were not his cup of tea. You wonder if Sid had been able to stay healthy and stay active consistently, how great he could have been and how much money he would have drawn, how much more money he would have drawn if that would have been able to occur," he said.
Sycho Sid is widely regarded as one of the most talented performers who did not reach his full potential. It remains to be seen if he will get inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.
