Another championship has changed hands for the third consecutive WWE show. Trick Williams defended his NXT Title against Oba Femi and Eddy Thorpe on New Year's Evil this week, and a new champion was crowned.

Eddy Thorpe didn't start the match as he was attacked backstage. However, he did show up later on. Oba Femi and Trick Williams started things off. The Ruler slammed Williams on the mat but got stunned by his opponent. Trick planted the big man with a Rock Bottom off the middle rope and got a two-count.

The two stars exchanged strikes and Trick Williams hit Oba Femi with a pump kick and a clothesline. He followed it up with a jumping neckbreaker, a bodyslam, and a flapjack. Trick countered a Fall From Grace with a DDT and hit another kick for a two-count.

Oba Femi powerbombed Trick Williams and went for the cover but Eddy Thorpe pulled the WWE official out of the ring. Oba then hit Thorpe with a spinebuster and an uppercut in the corner. Williams hit the Trickshot for a near-fall. He tried to do the same move again but hit Thorpe, who was holding a chair.

Oba Femi hit the Fall From Grace and pinned Trick to win the coveted WWE NXT Championship. Following his big victory, he celebrated with Giulia on the ramp.
