Aalyah Mysterio shared an emotional message today on social media following a personal tragedy. Aalyah is the daughter of Rey Mysterio. The veteran picked up a victory alongside Zelina Vega last night on RAW in a Mixed Tag Team match against American Made.

The WWE Hall of Famer shared during last night's show that his father, Roberto Gutierrez, had passed away in a heartfelt message on Instagram. His daughter took to her Instagram today to honor her grandfather following his passing and shared several photographs to remember him.

"You never missed a dance, a grandparents day at school, a graduation, or a birthday. Those memories will live in me forever and my children will hear so much about you. Thank you welo for so much love you showed me, for so many shots we took together, and for so many jokes you told me. I love you with all my heart welo," she wrote.

WWE legend Rey Mysterio comments on his daughter potentially becoming a wrestler

Rey Mysterio recently discussed the idea of his daughter becoming a professional wrestler someday.

The 23-year-old was involved in a romance storyline with Buddy Murphy, now known as Buddy Matthews in All Elite Wrestling, back in the day but never competed in a match during her time on WWE television.

In an interview with Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour, the Latino World Order member shared that he is scared about his daughter starting to wrestle because she might like it. The legend suggested that it could be a sign from God telling her to stay away from the ring because she would want to do it more.

"It's scary if she does 'cause she might like it. She's never stepped foot in the ring... For some reason or another, it hasn't happened and I think that's just a sign from God saying don't get her in there because she's gonna like it," he said.
