Aalyah Mysterio sends message after heartbreaking personal tragedy; Rey Mysterio also reacted

A few hours back, Rey Mysterio shared a heartbreaking update on his Instagram that led to an outpouring of grief. The WWE legend revealed that his father had breathed his last, which led to several reactions coming in no time.

Despite suffering a personal setback, Mysterio made it to RAW, where he teamed up with Zelina Vega to take on Chad Gable and Ivy Nile. The WWE Hall of Famer and Vega came on top in a memorable back-and-forth match, with Rey turning the clock back with his age-defying performance.

A few hours before Rey Mysterio made the news of his father's passing public, his daughter, Aalyah, reacted to the family tragedy by sharing a picture of her grandfather on her Instagram stories with a sweet message.

Rey Mysterio reveals if Aalyah Mysterio will ever wrestle

Though Aalyah's appearances in WWE as part of Rey's feud with Seth Rollins and Buddy Murphy in 2020 won over the fans, she didn't become a regular on TV and instead chose to focus on her medical studies. In an interview last year, Rey Mysterio shared his thoughts on whether Aalyah would ever enter the ring.

Though the legendary performer didn't give a concrete answer, he mentioned that she would fall in love with wrestling if she ever laced up her boots.

"It's scary if she does 'cause she might like it. She's never stepped foot in the ring... For some reason or another, it hasn't happened and I think that's just a sign from God saying don't get her in there because she's gonna like it," Mysterio said.

Though Aalyah Mysterio is unlikely to follow in her father's footsteps, her brother, Dominik, did and is already one of the biggest heels in WWE today.
