A huge superstar is set to return to WWE next year after several months of absence. WWE analyst Sam Roberts believes that wrestler could win the Men's Elimination Chamber to challenge Gunther at WrestleMania 41.

The superstar in question is none other than John Cena. The Cenation Leader will embark on his farewell tour in January. The 47-year-old has confirmed his participation in the Men's Royal Rumble. While some expect Cena to win the match to earn a World Title shot at WrestleMania, Roberts suggested on his Notsam Wrestling podcast that Roman Reigns could be the one to win the Royal Rumble to set up a Triple Threat Match against The Rock and Cody Rhodes at The Show of Shows.

Meanwhile, the RAW Talk host pointed out that Cena could instead win the Men's Elimination Chamber match to challenge Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 41 to try to win his record-breaking 17th World Title:

"John Cena can try to figure out what's next because trying to figure out what's next John Cena is one of my favorite John Cenas and that's the John Cena that goes into the Elimination Chamber, wins the Elimination Chamber, and now, assuming Gunther is still champion, you've got a potential night one main event of John Cena trying to get his record-breaking championship by beating the unbeatable, Gunther, for that title," he said. Ex-WWE employee thinks John Cena will dethrone Gunther

On the Behind The Turnbuckle: The Last Word podcast, former WWE employee Tommy Carlucci also addressed the future of Gunther's World Heavyweight Championship reign.

Carlucci, who spent over 30 years in the Stamford-based company, predicted that John Cena would be the one to dethrone The Ring General at next year's Show of Shows:

"I think Gunther stays champion until WrestleMania and Cena faces him and Cena beats him," he said.

John Cena has not competed in a WWE ring since April. It would be interesting to see when The Cenation Leader would return to the squared circle.
