Absent WWE Superstar reacts to The War Raiders' recent update ahead of high-stakes match on RAW

The War Raiders are one step away from challenging The Judgment Day's Finn Balor and JD McDonagh for the WWE World Tag Team Championship. Heading into their upcoming high-stakes match, Erik and Ivar posted a video on social media, putting the tag team division on notice.

Erik's real-life wife and the duo's on-screen manager, Valhalla, did not accompany The War Raiders in their return due to pregnancy. The 31-year-old has been absent from WWE television since Ivar got injured in April, the same month Valhalla announced she was expecting her second child. The former Sarah Logan's husband Erik had been out of action since September last year due to his neck injury.

Valhalla shared her reaction to the social media post earlier today. She took to Instagram Stories to reshare the video posted by The War Raiders, accompanied by rocker emojis.

After teasing their return with vignettes for a couple of weeks, Erik and Ivar showed up on WWE television as a tag team after over a year on the October 14 edition of Monday Night RAW. The former Viking Raiders reverted to the name and gimmick they had in NXT. The duo defeated Otis and Tozawa to advance further in the No. 1 Contendership Tournament for the World Tag Team Championship.

The War Raiders will compete in a Triple Threat Tag Team match on WWE RAW

Earlier this month, RAW General Manager Adam Pearce announced a tournament to determine the No. 1 Contenders for the World Tag Team Titles held by Finn Balor and JD McDonagh.

The tournament featuring six teams commenced on the October 14 edition of Monday Night RAW, with The War Raiders defeating Alpha Academy in their return to WWE television. The following week, while The New Day defeated The Authors of Pain, Rey Mysterio and Dragon Lee emerged victorious against American Made to advance to the next round.

The three teams will lock horns in a Triple Threat Tag Team Match on the go-home edition of the red brand's show ahead of Crown Jewel to earn a shot at the World Tag Team Championship. Balor and McDonagh, on the other hand, are scheduled to fight OTT Tag Team Champions Social Elite at the tenth anniversary of Over The Top Wrestling this Saturday.
