Adam Pearce was recently called out over his role in the ongoing Seth Rollins - Drew McIntyre - CM Punk controversy. He has since reacted to it on social media.
The rivalry between Drew McIntyre and CM Punk has reached a boiling point in recent months. It started at the Royal Rumble this year when Drew took credit for injuring Punk. For the next few weeks, he continued to make fun of Punk. At WrestleMania 40, Drew got in Punk's face and teased him after winning the World Heavyweight Championship.
As a result, Punk attacked Drew, allowing Damian Priest to cash in and win the World Heavyweight Championship. Punk would again attack Drew during his title match against Priest. This would result in McIntyre attacking Punk backstage on WWE SmackDown. Drew would also make things personal by taking Punk's bracelet which has the name of his wife and his dog.
After CM Punk was cleared to compete, Adam Pearce announced the match between both of them with Seth Rollins as the special guest referee at WWE SummerSlam. However, he added a stipulation that both men can't lay a finger on each other before the bout or the match was off.

During the SummerSlam kickoff event, WWE commentator Pat McAfee publicly called out Adam Pearce for this stipulation. He even called the RAW GM a "big bald stooge." Pearce didn't take this lying down as he took to social media to fire off at Pat for his comments.
"A big bald stooge that did what it took to get the match in the ring. Goofs like you cry 'Let them fight'…and when I do, then it’s 'Control your roster'… And when I do, then it’s 'Stooge.' Say your s**t to my face, Patrick."

Afa Anoa'I dismisses claims that the CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre feud has cooled off
This rivalry between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre has been going on for several months but has seemingly only gotten heated and personal over time. Despite this, both men have managed to retain interest in the feud for so long without losing interest.
During an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda, Afa Anoa'I mentioned that this feud has not cooled off as people are still interested in the match.
"I don't think that they cooled it off. I mean, they're still the guys that are on ESPN, doing all the promo hype packages and stuff like that. Yeah, I don't think it's cooled off. It has my interest. I'm really excited for this matchup and just a conclusion to an ongoing feud." [From 24:32 - 24:53]
It remains to be seen who will be the one to win their match at WWE SummerSlam and gain the upper hand in this feud.
