RAW General Manager Adam Pearce congratulated WWE Superstar on becoming the new champion in 2025. Omos, who has been off TV for nearly a year, won a major title outside the Stamford-based promotion.
The Nigerian Giant last wrestled for WWE during the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal on the April 5 episode of SmackDown, before WrestleMania XL. Amid his absence, rumors suggest that the creative team plans to use the 7-foot-3 wrestler as an "attraction."
Omos returned to in-ring action during the Pro Wrestling NOAH's The New Year event on January 1, 2025, as the new member of Team 2000X to challenge Naomichi Marufuji and Takashi Sugiura for the GHC Tag Team Championship.
Omos and Jack Morris beat the champions to capture the GHC Tag Team Title. After the match, The Nigerian Giant took to his Instagram to comment on his victory.

Omos' former manager goes off on WWE for underutilizing him
Omos' former manager MVP, who managed him from 2022-24, blasted WWE for his booking.
Speaking on K&S Wrestlefest Virtual Signing, MVP said he was surprised the management didn't see a value in Omos.
"I don't know what they plan on doing with him, but if you can't take a legitimate 7-foot 3-inch, 385 pounds....if you can't make money with a 7-foot 3-inch, 385-pound former basketball player that can move. You don't see him move a lot because they don't want him to. When he wants to move, you'd be surprised how well that big man can move. If you can't make money with that then you're just an idiot."
With Royal Rumble fast approaching, fans will hope to see the Nigerian Giant participate in the 30-man battle royal.
