Adam Pearce urged to sign top star; WWE Official reacts with 1-word message

WWE often recruits their talent from promising players in other sporting fields. The Stamford-based promotion has an established NIL program to develop young talent. Over the years the company has hired established athletes like Mark Henry, Kurt, Angle, Chad Gable, and more. Interestingly, Monday Night RAW General Manager Adam Pearce was recently urged to sign one such established sportsperson.

Cuban Greco-Roman wrestling giant Mijain Lopez recently bagged the gold medal in the 130kg weight class at the Paris Olympics. This was the fifth consecutive Olympic gold for the heavyweight wrestler. Interestingly, social media content creator and comedian Professor Nick Harrison added a story on Instagram asking Adam Pearce to hire Lopez.

In response, the WWE RAW GM sent a one-word message via an Instagram story of his own.

“Hmmm,” wrote Pearce.

While Pearce’s response doesn’t give much clarity on whether he would sign the Cuban wrestler, the story suggests that he is considering it. Notably, the Olympic champion announced his retirement after winning the gold in Paris, and thus, there is a chance that he could consider pro wrestling as well.

He won the North American Title soon after his debut. Sol Ruca is also a top name in NXT and has impressed fans and critics with her abilities.
