The Undertaker crossed paths with hundreds of wrestlers during his legendary career, including several former WCW stars who made the jump to WWE. In a recent podcast episode, The Phenom recalled how AEW's Paul Wight developed an ego during his time in WCW.

In 1995, Wight beat Hulk Hogan in his first WCW match at Halloween Havoc to win the World Heavyweight Championship. Four years later, he joined WWE and became known as The Big Show.

On Six Feet Under w/Mark Calaway, The Undertaker said Wight was a "bully" when he arrived in WWE and had to change his behavior:

"He beats Hulk Hogan, and then in that system down there [in WCW] with those personalities, man, he was a handful when he came up [to WWE]. He thought his s**t didn't stink and it was gonna be his way, and he was in for a rude awakening! At the time, he was a natural bully and he would talk to people [disrespectfully]." [12:51 – 13:21]

Wight overcame early difficulties in WWE to become one of the company's most prominent talents over the next two decades. In 2021, the seven-foot star joined AEW as an ambassador, commentator, and occasional in-ring competitor.

Paul Wight learned from Kane and The Undertaker

Glenn Jacobs, aka Kane, joined his storyline half-brother The Undertaker on the latest episode of his podcast. Both men won tag titles with Paul Wight in WWE.

The Undertaker joked that while Wight probably disliked their feedback, the critiques ultimately made the former WCW star a better performer:

"We took it upon ourselves, really, to try and put him under the learning tree. There were some tough lessons had to be learned. I think he's appreciative now. Not so much during it!" [9:14 – 9:27]

In the same episode, The Deadman pinpointed one thing World Heavyweight Champion Gunther must change in WWE.
