AJ Lee recently made an announcement while also mentioning the two current WWE stars she likes to follow. The three-time Divas Champion has not been active in the ring since leaving the company and retiring on April 3, 2015.
Soon after stepping away from the ring, AJ began a career as an author and screenwriter, eventually landing an executive producer role for WOW aka Women of Wrestling. She also has a writing partnership with actress Aimee Garcia that includes their comic book series based on the GLOW television show.
Speaking to Haley Miller of ComicBook.com recently to promote her new comic book series called Day of the Dead Girl with Aimee Garcia, AJ admitted to not following WWE storylines although she keeps tabs on Bayley and Naomi. Lee also reacted to her and CM Punk's dog Larry being featured on merchandise.
"I'm sort of on the periphery, and I get kind of looped in mostly for women's stuff, because that's what I'm interested in. So my husband will let me know who's the cool chick at the moment. And I'm so obsessed with people. Like Bayley and Naomi? Those are my girls. So that's what's interesting to me," AJ Lee said.

She added:
"I kind of don't know what's happening in the storyline. I know that my dog is famous all of a sudden! He's got some surprise merch coming. I've been privy to that. But it's cool. I'm happy that he's happy and healthy and just killing it. I'm proud." [H/T: ComicBook.com]
AJ Lee has been linked to a potential return to wrestling due to CM Punk being part of the WWE once again.
AJ Lee confirms her "involvement" in CM Punk-Drew McIntyre storyline
Drew McIntyre has namedropped AJ Lee multiple times during his feud with her husband CM Punk. In the same interview with ComicBook.com, Lee admitted that she doesn't know anything about the Punk-McIntyre feud.
"I mean this in the most loving way, I have no idea what's going on (laughs). I'm weird about like I don't want to watch my husband wrestle live because I'm scared. It's like a weird juju thing. But also, it's kind of like when you go home from work, do you open up your email? It's kind of like that. It feels like that if people can understand," AJ said. [H/T: ComicBook.com]
CM Punk and Drew McIntyre are set to clash for the third time at WWE Bad Blood. The rivalry needs to end one way or another, so RAW general manager Adam Pearce made it a Hell in a Cell Match.
