AJ Styles has provided a worrying update regarding his injury. A couple of weeks ago, he returned to WWE television for the first time in months.
Upon his return to the blue brand, Styles was confronted by Carmelo Hayes. This led to a singles match between the two superstars, with Hayes demanding a shot at LA Knight's United States Championship if he had walked out with the win.
Unfortunately for Styles, he suffered an ankle injury during the match's closing stages. On Twitter/X, he provided an update on his injury in a series of tweets.
"It’s called a Lisfranc injury. Look it up, it sucks! I thought when I took off my boot. I would have a bone sticking out of my foot," wrote Styles.

Konnan questioned WWE's booking of AJ Styles and The OC
AJ Styles and The OC parted ways after The Phenomenal One turned heel and refused Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows' help.
Speaking on the Keepin' It 100 Official podcast, Konnan questioned WWE's booking of Styles and The OC. He stated:
"I haven't heard anything on them. I would have to ask," Konnan said, regarding the status of AJ Styles and The Good Brothers. "It's weird because they made a big deal out of them and then they never really used them. And then they separated, then they brought them back together, then they didn't use them again."
Anderson and Gallows have been competing on WWE NXT. Meanwhile, 'Michin' Mia Yim is still signed to SmackDown, the same as Styles. Anderson recently teased a potential reunion of The OC.
However, with Styles sidelined with an injury, it remains to be seen what the future holds for The Phenomenal One.
