On WWE SmackDown, AJ Styles suffered an ankle injury during his match against Carmelo Hayes. Taking to social media, The Phenomenal One has just provided an update.

Styles had been absent from WWE television since losing his "I Quit" Match against Cody Rhodes at Clash at the Castle: Scotland. During his time off from TV, he competed at Pro Wrestling NOAH, defeating Naomichi Marufuji at Destination 2024.

Taking to his X (fka Twitter) account, Styles stated he would keep the WWE Universe updated along with a motivational message.

"I believe everything happens for a reason. I’ll keep you updated," wrote Styles.

Shawn Michaels spoke highly of AJ Styles

Shawn Michaels praised AJ Styles and said that the latter is one of the best in the business. He also spoke highly of Seth Rollins.

Speaking on Good Karma Wrestling, The Heart Break Kid stated the following:

"I think Seth is a fantastic performer. That’s me, off the top of my head, picking one. He’s a guy that has unbelievable talent. AJ Styles is still a guy that I think is fantastic as well. The more I sit here and think about it, there are probably other guys that would come up, but I will say right now, for me, for my kind of style and what I enjoy out of matches, AJ and Seth are rocking pretty good."

Earlier this year, Styles was involved in an intense feud with LA Knight, with the latter even invading The Phenomenal One's home in the lead-up to WrestleMania XL. At The Show of Shows, Knight defeated Styles.

However, merely a few weeks later, Styles earned himself a shot at the Undisputed WWE Championship. At Backlash: France, he failed to defeat Cody Rhodes in their first match. The rematch occurred at Clash at the Castle: Scotland with Rhodes once again emerging victorious.

It remains to be seen how long Styles remains sidelined with his injury.
