This week’s episode of WWE NXT saw Ethan Page getting his next challenger. The main event of the night saw two top stars compete in a Last Man Standing match to determine the number one contender for All Ego’s NXT Championship. Interestingly, the title’s former holder, Trick Williams, won the match.

Trick faced off against Pete Dunne to earn a title shot for the NXT Championship, which he unceremoniously lost at Heatwave. Both fighters put up a vicious fight, landing almost everything in their arsenal to ensure that their opponents were unable to stand.

Williams went into the match with an aggressive approach and was seen insulting Pete Dunne with the name ‘Butch’ backstage. The crowd was also favoring the former champ and chanted “Whoop that Butch” during the match to support Trick Williams.

Notably, Ethan Page tried to interfere in the match and prevent Trick from securing the win. However, his attempt to sabotage Williams failed, and The Bruiserweight lost the match after being unable to stand for ten counts at ringside.

Is this man the funniest man in wrestling?

Contradictory to his desperate attempt to prevent Williams from winning, Ethan Page had said that he wasn’t stressed about either of the stars winning. All Ego remarked that he wanted to watch both men go at each other and saw neither as competition.

However, his actions clearly show that he didn’t want to face the former champ as his challenger. It would be interesting to see if All Ego can retain the title against Trick Williams.
