Asuka shared an interesting message ahead of tonight's edition of WWE RAW. The veteran is currently a member of the Damage CTRL faction and is also a part of popular tag team The Kabuki Warriors alongside Kairi Sane.

The Empress of Tomorrow has not wrestled since The Kabuki Warriors lost the Women's Tag Team Championship to Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair at WWE Backlash earlier this year. The former champion was supposed to compete in the Queen of the Ring tournament earlier this year but was pulled due to a knee injury and has not returned to action since.

She took to social media today to potentially tease a character change when she makes her return to RAW. She shared two different versions of her logo, and you can check out her message in the post below.

Damage CTRL star Dakota Kai is also currently sidelined with a knee injury. The 36-year-old recently suffered a torn meniscus and has not wrestled since a WWE Live Event on July 27.

WWE RAW star names Asuka as her dream opponent

Sonya Deville recently named Asuka as one of her dream opponents in WWE.

Deville is the leader of the Pure Fusion Collective faction on the red brand alongside Zoey Stark and Shayna Baszler. Lyra Valkyria will be squaring off against Zoey Stark in a singles match tonight on RAW.

In a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet on the Insight podcast, Deville named the 43-year-old as her dream opponent. She noted that the two stars have never had a televised singles match against each other.

“I’ve had a million matches with her but not a lot televised, and never a singles televised to my knowledge. Asuka is one of my favourite opponents. We would have awesome matches down in NXT seven years ago, eight years ago on live events and road loops. And it was my favourite match to this day, but we never got an angle on TV," said Deville.

Asuka reportedly reached a new deal with the promotion earlier this month. It will be fascinating to see what the company has planned for the veteran when she finally makes her return to RAW.
