Former WWE Women's Champion Asuka has been out since early May due to a knee injury. However, it seems like the Damage CTRL member teased her potential return with a cryptic post on social media.

Just a few weeks before WrestleMania XL, Asuka appeared to have "tweaked" her left knee which was already ailing. She rested up leading to the big event and was able to perform in Philadelphia, as well as at Backlash in France less than a month later.

The Empress of Tomorrow was then pulled out of the Queen of the Ring Tournament due to a knee injury. It was unclear what kind of injury she suffered and there was no timeline of recovery given. However, her latest post on X might be a tease for a potential return.

Asuka made the post after WWE RAW, wherein Damage CTRL sent a message to WWE Women's Tag Team Champions Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn. However, it was a split night for the group, given Kairi Sane's failure to qualify for the Money in the Bank ladder match.

The good news for them is Iyo Sky already qualified for the match, so Sane and Dakota Kai are likely eyeing the tag titles next. The Kabuki Warriors previously held the championship during WrestleMania season before losing it to Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair at Backlash France.

Former WWE Superstar picks Asuka as her favorite opponent

Former NXT Women's Champion Mandy Rose recently named Asuka as her favorite opponent to wrestle. Rose explained on a recent episode of her Power Alphas podcast that The Empress of Tomorrow always brought out the best in her when they wrestled against each other.

"I feel like she always kind of brought the best out of me, someone who didn't have as much experience out there. As much as there was a little bit of a language barrier at times, sometimes I had like my greatest matches with her 'cause I just felt like she brought that energy and she just brought that feeling out there and she moves so fast so like keeping up with her was always fun so ya I would definitely say Asuka was one of my faves," Rose said.
