Asuka has experienced a lot during her time away from WWE. Following an injury, she has been absent from the company since May.
The star suffered a knee injury in the leadup to the Queen of the Ring tournament but still competed in the tour before that. Finally, she chose to take time away due to her injury. In her YouTube vlog, she revealed why she was pulled from the Queen of the Ring tournament and said, "See you again."
In the vlog, she revealed that she was taking a break from WWE due to her knee injury, which had been bothering her for a while. Since then, except for an appearance during the WWE tour of Japan, the former women's champion has been away from the ring and recovering. Now, though, she has posted a cryptic message on Instagram that seems to hint at a return to the ring.
The star posted a video where she is in her normal backstage look without any ring makeup, but then the face fades away, with her Asuka facepaint appearing and her looking terrifying.
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
This clip coming before Bad Blood has led to speculation, but there's no confirmation yet on whether she'll be returning soon.
Damage CTRL misses Asuka
While Damage CTRL are ferocious by themselves, the absence of Asuka from the team appears to have affected them. On top of that, Dakota Kai is also dealing with an injury. The stars are not doing as well as usual, and their issues with the Pure Fusion Collective have also affected them.
IYO Sky has stepped up in The Empress of Tomorrow's absence again, but the former champion's return to the show would immediately give the stable a big boost that might see them become champions again.
It remains to be seen when it ends up happening.
