Asuka shared a cryptic message today on social media directed at a current champion in WWE. The Damage CTRL star is currently out of action with a knee injury.
She has not competed since The Kabuki Warriors dropped the Women's Tag Team Championship to Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair at Backlash earlier this year in France. She took to social media today to send a message to WWE Women's Champion Nia Jax. The Irresistible Force defeated Bayley to capture the title at SummerSlam earlier this month.
The Empress of Tomorrow took to her official X account to share a picture of Nia Jax, seemingly targeting the champion ahead of her potential return from injury.
"I am a Champion 👸," she wrote.

Damage CTRL's Dakota Kai has also recently suffered an injury. The 36-year-old tore her meniscus and will be forced to miss the next 8 to 10 weeks of action.
WWE RAW star names Asuka as her dream opponent
Sonya Deville recently named Asuka as the opponent she would like to wrestle on WWE television.
Deville tore her ACL last year after winning the Women's Tag Team Championship with Chelsea Green. She has returned to RAW and formed a faction with Zoey Stark and Shayna Baszler known as the Pure Fusion Collective.
Speaking with Chris Van Vliet on the Insight podcast, the former champion stated that she has wrestled Asuka countless times but never on television. She noted that the 42-year-old is one of her favorite opponents, but they haven't had the chance to do a storyline together on the main roster.
“I’ve had a million matches with her but not a lot televised, and never a singles televised to my knowledge. Asuka is one of my favourite opponents. We would have awesome matches down in NXT seven years ago, eight years ago on live events and road loops. And it was my favorite match to this day, but we never got an angle on TV," said Deville.

The Damage CTRL member recently appeared at a WWE event in Japan and got a great reaction from the crowd. Only time will tell when the former champion will return to the ring.
