WWE has officially parted ways with Baron Corbin. The releases of Corbin, Indi Hartwell, and Tegan Nox were announced on November 1, but today, an update on Corbin's status was uncovered. The multi-time champion has released a statement on the matter and his future.
The Lone Wolf is officially a free agent. Sources reported in November that Corbin was informed his WWE contract would not be renewed, ending his 12-year run. It was revealed earlier today that Corbin's two-month waiting period is over, officially putting him into free agency. Now that Corbin's contract has officially expired, he can sign with any promotion he wants.
Corbin took to X shortly after backstage reports on his status surfaced today. The 40-year-old reiterated what has been going on with his World Wrestling Entertainment contract and what officials told him on November 1. The former NFL player then indicated an interest in Hollywood and looked ahead to being a free agent in 2025.
"I’m officially no longer under contract since i was not fired. I was told they were not extending. So if you’re making a horror movie, let me know ha ha ha ha. New year, no contract, let’s see what we can create," Baron Corbin wrote.

Corbin has not wrestled since the SmackDown tapings on October 18. He defeated Giovanni Vinci in a dark match that night, two weeks after Corbin and Apollo Crews defeated Los Garza in another blue brand dark match. The former United States Champion has heavy interest from the indies.
Former WWE champion attends AEW pay-per-view
AEW's second annual Worlds End was held this past Saturday night in Orlando, FL, from Addition Financial Arena. At the same time, WWE was nearby running a non-televised live event at the Kia Center.
Many WWE and AEW talents are based out of the Orlando area, and because of this, there were multiple visitors backstage on Saturday night. Fightful Select reported that Baron Corbin was backstage visiting at the AEW pay-per-view, but it remains to be seen if he had any talks about signing.
Tyler Breeze and AJ Francis were also backstage at Worlds End. Breeze, a former NXT Tag Team Champion, lives in the area and was backstage visiting friends. He co-owns the Flatbacks Wrestling school in Apopka, FL, with Shawn Spears. Francis, also known as Top Dolla, just signed a one-year contract extension with TNA and was seen talking with Tony Khan and others at Worlds End.
