Baron Corbin was recently released from WWE. He has already teased an upcoming project.
Baron Corbin wrestled for WWE for several years. During this time, he wrestled under several gimmicks but could never get over with the fans. He even wrestled Kurt Angle in the Olympic gold medalist's final match and won, but he could never capitalize on this big win.
After an up-and-down tenure on the main roster, he was moved back to NXT, where he started to gain a bit of momentum. He even formed a successful tag team with Bron Breakker, and they won the NXT Tag Team Championship. However, after moving up to the main roster, his momentum came to a screeching halt, and he was eventually released from the company.
Following his release, Corbin took to social media to post a video of himself showing off his nunchuck skills using rubber gloves. He also mentioned that he was working on a "fun burger project."
Corey Graves deleted his Tweet! More details HERE.
"Cooked a bomb a** burger tonight. Fun burger project coming! Also rubber gloves make good nunchucks!"

Kurt Angle is disappointed with Baron Corbin's WWE release
Kurt Angle has a lot of history with Baron Corbin. The two were involved in a bitter feud between 2018 and 2019, which eventually culminated in a match at WrestleMania 35, which was won by the Lone Wolf. This was a big deal since it was the Olympic gold medalist's final wrestling match. However, since this win, WWE has not capitalized on it with a massive push, which doesn't sit right with the legend.
Speaking to Wrestlezone, Kurt Angle expressed his disappointment over Corbin's release. He thought the former Mr. Money in the Bank was underrated and felt their match at WrestleMania 35 was wasted since the company didn't capitalize on it.
"For me, it makes me feel like I did that for nothing. It’s not like, ‘Sc**w you, Angle’, but it kinda is. I thought they were gonna run with the kid; I thought they were gonna make him one of the top-tier guys, and he was on his way," the Hall of Famer commented. [From 13:40 to 14:01]
It will be interesting to see what this next project for Baron Corbin is going to be following his release.
