Batista (Dave Bautista) and The Rock (Dwayne Johnson) have starred in several movies since their full-time WWE careers ended. In a recent interview, Maven Huffman gave his thoughts on both wrestling legends' acting abilities.
Maven worked for WWE between 2001 and 2005. The 47-year-old won the Hardcore Championship from The Undertaker in 2002 thanks to interference from The Rock. He also shared the ring with Batista more than a dozen times.
Speaking on Vlad TV, Maven made it clear he views The Animal as a superior actor:
"I think he's the best wrestler-turned-actor. A thousand times better than The Rock. [John] Cena's good, he's good, he's a great comedic actor." [2:29 – 2:42]

As Maven referenced, John Cena has also become a movie star over the last decade. The 16-time world champion has appeared in Barbie, F9, Ricky Stanicky, The Suicide Squad, and several other films in recent years.
Maven's issue with The Rock as an actor
In WWE, The Rock has reinvented his on-screen persona many times throughout his career. In the movie world, however, the 52-year-old has developed a reputation for repeatedly portraying the same action-adventure character.
Although Maven likes the WWE icon, he understands why people sometimes criticize his lack of range as an actor:
"I was sick last year and it was on a I wanna say a Saturday. One of those days where I talked my girl into letting me stay in the room and not do anything with the dogs, and I watched three Rock movies back-to-back-to-back and he was the same character in all three movies." [2:58 – 3:13]
Maven added that Batista's movie appearances are usually better than The Great One's due to his versatility as a performer.
