WWE Women's Champion Bayley has shared her thoughts on whether a mid-card title should be introduced for the women's division. This is something that many fans have been asking for a long time now.
It was rumored that the company was planning to have a female version of the United States and Intercontinental Championship, one for RAW and SmackDown. However, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful reported that his sources in WWE had not heard anything about new titles being introduced.
Speaking to Booker T in a recent interview on the Hall of Fame podcast, Bayley said she would be open to WWE introducing a mid-card title for the women, but she thinks that the Women's Tag Titles should be elevated more before a new belt is brought in.
"Of course, yeah I think that is - they're doing that in NXT right now with the NXT Women's North American Title. Yeah, I would love for us to have something like that. I think that would be great but I still - I always say this as proud as I am of the Women's Tag Team Titles, they also don't always get that time. They don't always get those matches. So first I would love to see those take off and I would love to see the women's tag division kind of be put on the map and be on these pay-per-views with us," she said.

Bayley added:
"And I just feel like they need a little more TLC (tender loving care), a little more love because so many women have been able to hold them but we haven't been able to like have that match yet where it's like 'Okay, we solidified the women's tag team division, now it's bringing in another one.' But when that happens, I believe it will, I know that it's going to help a lot of other women shine." [2:57-3:53]
Will SummerSlam be Bayley's last night as WWE Women's Champion?
The Biggest Party of the Summer is only a few days away, and during the event, The Role Model will defend her WWE Women's Championship against Nia Jax. The Irresistible Force earned the right to challenge for the title after winning the Queen of the Ring Tournament at the King & Queen of the Ring Premium Live Event in Saudi Arabia.
Nia Jax has been a dominant force since returning to WWE. It's possible that she could win the title at SummerSlam. Even if Bayley retains, Tiffany Stratton could cash in her Money in the Bank contract to become the new champion.
It'll be interesting to see whether The Role Model will leave Cleveland with the belt still in her possession.
