Several current and former WWE personalities, including Bayley, Kofi Kingston, and Trish Stratus, recently took to social media to react to an emotional post by a former champion. The champion being referred to is Jessica McKay (fka Billie Kay).
McKay joined World Wrestling Entertainment in 2015 and started performing for the company's developmental brand, NXT. In 2018, she was called up to the main roster alongside her tag team partner, Peyton Royce, and the duo was named The IIconics.
During their time on the main roster, Royce and McKay made a huge name by winning the Women's Tag Team Championship. However, following their match against Natalya and Tamina at WrestleMania 37, The IIconics were released from their contracts in April 2021.
Jessica McKay recently took to Instagram to wish her son, Cooper, a happy birthday and share her personal story as a mother. In her post's caption, McKay highlighted how every parents' journey was with their newborn kid.

Peyton Royce talked about how she and Jessica McKay came up with their WWE tag team name
During an interview with Ring The Belle, Peyton Royce revealed that WWE couldn't trademark her and Jessica McKay's initial tag team name, 'The Iconic Duo' as it was a regular phrase.
Royce also mentioned that she came up with 'The IIconics' alongside McKay because they wanted to use something similar to The Iconic Duo.
"I think it couldn't be trademarked 'cause it was just a regular phrase, so they're like you've got to come up with something new and so we were going to come up with something completely different away from that, and then we're like, 'No, like, this is who we are and this is you know, what we've put all our work and energy into creating the Iconic Duo so let's try and like make it work, so that's where The IIconics came from,'" Peyton Royce said.
Many fans want The IIconics to return to WWE television. It remains to be seen whether the Stamford-based promotion has any plans to bring the duo back in the future.
