Bayley opened up on a huge turning point in her WWE career
Bayley recently discussed her heel turn from 2019. She regarded it as one of the biggest turning points of her career.
Speaking on The Rob Brown Show, The Role Model stated that she needed to move on from her babyface character. She said:
"There was a moment...before I went out that I was like, 'Oh my god,'" Bayley said, as she was unexpectedly emotional over the end of her upbeat song and smiling mascots. "I needed to move on."
The year 2024 started on a historic note for Bayley, as she won the Women's Royal Rumble Match. Within the next few months, she was betrayed by Damage CTRL, leaving the faction in the process.
At WrestleMania XL, she defeated her former Damage CTRL stablemate, IYO SKY, to win the Women's Championship. The Role Model's first reign as the Women's Champion ended at SummerSlam, courtesy of Nia Jax. Tiffany Stratton also played a major role in Jax's victory, as her distraction led to a decisive finish.
Bayley failed to regain the title when she challenged Jax in a rematch at Bad Blood. It remains to be seen if she aims to win the Women's United States Championship.
