Bayley ruthlessly mocked; Former WWE champion fires major shot following crushing SummerSlam defeat

Bayley recently lost the WWE Women’s Championship at SummerSlam. The Role Model couldn’t overpower Nia Jax, and following her loss, she didn’t make an appearance on the SmackDown episode after the Cleveland PLE. Now, a former WWE champion recently mocked The Hugger and fired subtle shots at her in her absence.

Chelsea Green has garnered a lot of traction via her promos in the arena and her constantly buzzing social media handles. The Hot Mess recently responded to a fan’s Instagram story showcasing Bayley hanging upside-down from the apron of the ring as Green laughed at ringside.

Apparently, the image shared by the fan was taken from the WWE SmackDown episode in Jeddah before the King and Queen of the Ring PLE. The fan noted that they always cracked up whenever they looked at the image. Interestingly, the former WWE Women's Tag Team Champion joined the fan mocking Bayley and reshared the picture via an Instagram story of her own.

Chelsea Green already has a history with The Role Model, and her tag team partner, Piper Niven, has attacked her multiple times. The Scottish Superstar failed to capitalize on her chance to dethrone The Hugger on her home soil at Clash at the Castle. However, The Hot Mess seems to be fanning the flames of her rivalry with the ex-WWE Women’s Champion once again.

Thus, while a possible clash seems imminent between Nia Jax and Tiffany Stratton, Bayley could feud with Chelsea Green when she gets back. However, it seems that it will take a while for The Hugger to be back in WWE owing to a possible injury she sustained at SummerSlam.

Is Bayley away from WWE SmackDown due to an injury?

Bayley and Nia Jax had a highly physical match before the WWE Universe in Cleveland. The Irresistible Force notably crushed The Role Model with two Annihilators to take the win. Following this, The Hugger was seen with several ice packs around her shoulder backstage after her match ended.

Moreover, CM Punk posted an image sharing the frame with her during the PLE. Fans didn’t fail to notice an ice pack resting on her shoulder in this picture as well.

Additionally, The former Damage CTRL member was initially supposed to be present in the SmackDown episode in Tulsa following SummerSlam. But, despite being advertised for the event, she didn’t make an appearance at the Friday Night Show. Hence, there is a strong chance that she is currently being rested due to a shoulder injury.

It would be interesting to see when she makes her comeback and addresses her unfortunate loss in Cleveland before her fans.
