Becky Lynch is still the NXT Women's Champion. Since defeating Tiffany Stratton, the Irish star has become one of WWE's busiest champions. She defeated one of RAW's most underrated and arguably underutilized stars this week.
Becky Lynch was all set to face the Australian star, Indi Hartwell. The latter is also a former NXT Women's Champion and never lost the title, vacating it instead due to an injury. She had a claim to being the true champion, but not anymore.
Lynch retained the NXT Women's Championship via submission after an incredible effort from the challenger.
Tomorrow night, the Champion returns to NXT to defend the title against Lyra Valkyria. After she finishes that, Xia Li will be the next in line.
She was spotted stalking the Champion backstage and went backstage to strike Candice LeRae, telling her it was also a message to Indi Hartwell.
Lynch has arguably been the most active Champion in all of WWE and has undoubtedly been more active than Rhea Ripley, who has had relatively fewer title defenses since WrestleMania 39.
She is, however, set to defend the title against four other women at Crown Jewel 2023.
