Becky Lynch has been absent from WWE for some time. After losing the Women's World Championship, as well as her rematch against Liv Morgan, she stepped away from the company. Now, she's made a huge announcement on her social media.
Lynch won the Women's World Championship after WrestleMania in a Battle Royal match. Rhea Ripley, the previous champion, was injured and had to leave the company for a while to recover from her injury. Lynch, whose contract with the company was coming up, won the title instead, but eventually lost it to Liv Morgan and lost the rematch as well.
She has since stepped away from the company and her contract has expired. There's no certainty on if she'll return to WWE soon, and if so, when will it be.
Recently, she was named among several top authors for the best books of 2024 so far by The Irish Independent. She made an announcement about being featured and stated that it was her honor.
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
"It’s an honor to have my book named among all these other wonderful authors! My New York Times bestselling book, The Man: Becky Lynch, is available now."
Fans will have to wait to see whether Lynch chooses to return to WWE anytime soon.
Becky Lynch made a mark even while leaving WWE on hiatus
Even when she was leaving on a hiatus from WWE, Becky Lynch decided to do it in the best way possible. In the first match, she lost against Liv Morgan, with the star becoming champion.
She then put over Morgan again in an even bigger match inside a steel cage. While Dominik Mysterio played a role in both losses, thanks to his shenanigans, in the end, Lynch had not only put over Morgan but furthered her story with Mysterio, all while exiting WWE.
In many ways, her actions were those of a respected veteran, who put the company first.
