A new Netflix advertisement has confirmed Becky Lynch's WWE return. She has been absent from television for seven months.

The Man last appeared on WWE television on the May 27 edition of Monday Night RAW, where she unsuccessfully challenged Liv Morgan for the Women's World Championship in a Steel Cage Match. Lynch's contract with the Stamford-based company expired on June 1, and she has yet to return to the squared circle.

Despite her absence from television, Becky Lynch was spotted alongside several other stars at a recent media event at Netflix HQ, hinting at her return to the squared circle. However, the 37-year-old's presence in a new RAW commercial that aired during the NFL on Netflix broadcast has confirmed that she would eventually make her WWE return.

Becky Lynch recalls fighting the WWE creative to force changes in a segment

Becky Lynch was involved in an emotional segment with Asuka in May 2020. The then-RAW Women's Champion vacated the title after announcing her temporary departure from the wrestling promotion to focus on her pregnancy. The 2020 Women's Money in the Bank winner, Asuka, was crowned the new champion.

Speaking to Vulture.com last month, Becky revealed that the original plan was for the exchange between her and Asuka backstage during an interview. Lynch pointed out that she was not amused by the booking and hence fought the creative team to force the change:

"The whole thing was supposed to go down in this crazy way, where they wanted me coming out and challenging the backstage interviewer. Then Asuka would come out, and I would say all these just elaborate, robust words. It was bad. It was just very bad. But I was also very hormonal. I was ready to punch somebody. You got to know what hills to die on. When you’re early weeks of pregnancy, you don’t know those hills. You’ll die on all of them. I was ready to fight, and I fought. It was better than it was otherwise intended," she said. [H/T: Vulture.com]
