WWE is gearing up to deliver a stupendous SummerSlam 2024 in Cleveland on August 3, Saturday. Ahead of the premium live event, 6 ft 4 in Gunther opened up about the possibility of winning the World Heavyweight Championship.
The Imperium leader defeated Randy Orton in Saudi Arabia to become this year's King of the Ring. As announced by Triple H, the 36-year-old punched his ticket to The Biggest Party of the Summer for a shot at the world title.
Gunther will now face Judgment Day's Damian Priest for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at the Cleveland Browns Stadium. During an appearance on SHAK Wrestling, The Ring General was asked what it would mean for him to become the new World Heavyweight Champion at the PLE.
The 6-foot-4 WWE star claimed that winning the world title would be the greatest achievement of his career, but acknowledged that it would also bring immense responsibility and challenges. Gunther expressed his readiness to face them head-on.

"I mean obviously the biggest achievement of my career. I think that's quite obvious, it's the World Heavyweight Championship; the biggest prize there is to win right now in this sport. Yeah, it would mean a huge accomplishment but also a big responsibility and big challenge but that's what I am here for. Like, I want to be in the mix with the best and I want to be in the ring with all of them and prove myself in that regard," he said. [3:08 - 3:41]

WWE veteran predicts potential result of Damian Priest vs Gunther match
Pro wrestling veteran Jim Cornette has predicted what might go down at WWE SummerSlam's Damian Priest vs. Gunther title match.
On his Drive-Thru podcast, Cornette mentioned that The Ring General must win the World Heavyweight Championship in Cleveland. For that to happen, the 62-year-old legend believes that a member of The Judgment Day faction would cost El Campeon the match.
"Gunther gets a major win and has a new championship belt and is one of the two top singles guys, Priest is the victim of some malfeasance or malpractice by some member of The Judgment Day doing what they should've known not to do, and that leads him in a different direction, and off we go to the races," Cornette said.
