Big E was kicked out of The New Day after Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods refused his offer to be the manager of the group and claimed he had become a burden. The duo turned heel on the December 2, 2024, episode of RAW, and E hasn't been featured on TV since.
Ahead of its move to Netflix, the company has announced several new projects that will be featured on its new streaming service.
This includes RAW Classics, which will be hosted by the former New Day member. The former WWE Champion has been hosting several kick-off shows since his injury in March 2022. Despite speculation that his contract was set to expire, the company seems to have opted to retain him as a talent.

Despite not being seen as an active talent, Big E will still play a huge part in the new era of WWE.
Will Big E ever return to a WWE ring?
WWE fans hoped that Big E's recent appearance on RAW would hint at his eventual return. However, after almost three years on the sidelines, E has recently noted that he is no closer to returning and has yet to be medically cleared.
The injury didn't actually see him break his neck, but he is forced to have scans regularly and has noted that, at present, he is in no pain from the injury, which he sees as lucky considering the alternative.
Stars such as Edge, Daniel Bryan, and Paige have given the former WWE Champion hope. His decision to remain an employee in this new role means that the option to return will always be available when he is finally medically cleared, no matter how far into the future that may be.
