WWE Superstar Big E has paid tribute to one of his former rivals, following a consequential update on his future.

It looks like Bobby Lashley is on his way out of WWE. Reports have indicated The All Mighty's contract is expiring soon and that he has been removed from the company's internal roster. This comes nearly three months since Lashley's last appearance.

While not confirmed, all signs point towards the former WWE Champion leaving the company. After the report surfaced, Big E posted about Bobby Lashley on his official Twitter/X handle. The New Day member called him a monster and a gentleman, among other things.

The two shared the ring multiple times, including when E defeated Lashley to win the WWE Championship. His post was a tribute worthy of The All Mighty:

"A monster. A specimen. A professional. A gentleman," tweeted Big E.

Bobby Lashley isn't the only superstar who recently got removed from WWE's internal roster. MVP and Tamina are also no longer on it, with neither of them appearing on television in the past few months. It remains to be seen what the future holds for all three stars.

Will Big E return to WWE in-ring action?

Big E himself has been away from WWE television, although it's not in his hands. The New Day member broke his neck on a March 2022 episode of SmackDown. While he has recovered from the horrifying injury, E is yet to be cleared to return.

His C1 vertebrae has healed from the fracture, but it is not turning into new bone. The former WWE Champion revealed that he won't be cleared until that happens, which sounds concerning. With that being said, he did undergo stem cell treatment over a month ago.

It remains to be seen if that helps in getting the 38-year-old star back in the ring. As of now, the New Day member's only WWE appearances are on the Kickoff Show for premium live events.
