Monday Night RAW is the place to be and is set to fully regain its status as WWE's flagship show following the start of the gargantuan 10-year, $5 billion Netflix deal. Meanwhile, wrestling veteran Bill Apter expected two stars to "kill each other" before their stunning turn.
On The Wrestling Time Machine's latest episode, host Mac Davis asked Bill Apter and WWE Hall of Famer Teddy Long about a wide range of topics, including the shocking New Day 10th anniversary segment on the December 2nd episode of RAW. The infamous segment saw Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston's tensions dissipate as they directed it toward Big E - cutting off their brother-in-arms and denouncing him for "leaving them" following his possibly career-ending neck injury.
Wrestling veteran Bill Apter praised the New Day segment on RAW and the stunning heel turn of Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods. He admitted that he thought Kingston and Woods would "kill each other."
"When they showed Kofi [Kingston] and Xavier [Woods] walking into the building alone, they didn't have a celebratory feel about them. They were just like, it was another night. When they came to the ring, it was all dressed up and beautiful, and they were very blasé about the thing. I thought the two would get into a confrontation with each other. Big E comes down, and they hit a turnaround angle I never thought would happen where Kofi and Xavier Woods bonded when we thought they would kill each other, and they turned their backs on Big E. What a great turn of events." [From 5:03-6:06]

Cody Rhodes gave Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods a statement on RAW
It appears as though the entire roster denounced Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods for severing ties with Big E - one of the most beloved figures among fans and in the locker room.
Cody Rhodes would tell The New Day's Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods that they should be ashamed of themselves.
While Cody Rhodes' RAW appearance was presented as being a part of the "Transfer Window" rule that WWE implemented where superstars of the opposite brand could appear on a particular show, it was due to his dark match that he was present.
Using him on TV just seemed to be a bonus. After the show went off the air, he defeated Carmelo Hayes for the fifth time in 2024.
