WWE Superstar Roman Reigns' father Sika Anoa'i recently passed away. Veteran journalist Bill Apter shared his condolences, stating that he was friends with both Sika and the other half of the Wild Samoans, Afa.
The news of Sika's demise was broken by his nephew, Jahrus Anoa'i, who took to Instagram to reveal the sad event. While Afa's ill health had been making headlines recently, Sika's passing came as a surprise to many. The two were popular during their active WWE in-ring career, known as the Wild Samoans tag team.
Speaking on this week's episode of Sportskeeda's UnSKripted, veteran journalist Bill Apter talked about the unfortunate developement. He said he knew the Hall of Famers before they became The Samoans (later The Wild Samoans) and were known as The Islanders.
"Dear friend, half of the Wild Samoans and the father of Roman Reigns, Sika Anoa'i died today. And what surprised me was that I had heard recently that he had been ill, but Afa, his brother, has been in the news for being very ill recently as well... I have the Samoans before they were the Samoans, they were The Islanders." [2:33 onwards]

Apter also stated during the show that he first met the legendary three-time WWF(E) World Tag Team Champions in the 1970s. At the time Afa and Sika were primarily wrestling in the NWA territories.
We at Sportskeeda extend our condolences to the friends of Sika Anoa'i and the Anoa'i family, as the WWE Universe mourns his passing.
