Randy Orton was victorious in the main event of Monday Night RAW, and it was an excellent performance, as always. However, how the show went off the air was nothing short of bizarre.
There seems to be a stark contrast between RAW and SmackDown in terms of the endings. While it has been pointed out that the blue brand ends typically two to three minutes before the actual runtime finishes despite being a shorter show, RAW regularly ends with a cliffhanger or abruptly.
This week on RAW, Randy Orton defeated 34-year-old Ludwig Kaiser in the main event. Unsurprisingly, he began to brawl with the World Heavyweight Champion Gunther. The show went off the air with Gunther getting a poke in te eye. You can watch it below and see how it comes across as very bizarre:
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
It's hard to say who is at fault here, but WWE is aware that USA Network is strict on its runtime. In response to the abrupt finish to RAW, many fans stated that they can't wait for the Netflix Deal to begin as the streaming platform doesn't have to worry about run time like traditional cable television.
Either way, it was a good match and showcase for Randy Orton.
The World Heavyweight Championship match against Gunther is highly anticipated and looks like it will headline Bash in Berlin.
