Ahead of WWE SmackDown, the wrestling world noted that Bobby Lashley had updated his Twitter profile to reveal that he was now the leader of The Pride.

There was a belief that this name would be unveiled on WWE SmackDown tonight, but instead, a new name for The Authors of Pain was revealed during that segment and Lashley had already taken to Twitter to delete the update that contained his team's new name.

There was no mention of the new name on WWE SmackDown and the trio were still announced as Bobby Lashley and The Street Profits as they made their way to the ring.

It's unclear if WWE decided not to use the name this week because The Authors of Pain were revealing theirs, or if the decision was made to change the name, which appears to be a major change after the group was known as the 'Almighty Profits' for several weeks.

The group's new name will seemingly become clearer in the coming weeks or ahead of The Royal Rumble.
