Bobby Lashley is one of WWE's major names who needs to be painstakingly revived after a lackluster run in the last year. Despite a solid start at the dawn of a new decade, with The All Mighty winning his first WWE Championship and then some, he fizzled out into the background with no clear direction.

In May 2024, SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis announced that Lashley was removed from the King of the Ring Tournament owing to an injury he sustained while training. No further information regarding the same was revealed. But now the 48-year-old has shared a workout video clip on social media in which he shows off his recovering arm injury.

On Instagram, Bobby Lashley claimed that he needed this setback so that the comeback could be greater. He also added that his arm is feeling a lot stronger now:

"Minor setback for a major comeback!" he captioned the post.

Triple H comments on Bobby Lashley and MVP's WWE exit

WWE Chief Content Officer Paul "Triple H" Levesque was recently asked by Mail Sport about the rumored departure of MVP—Bobby Lashley was mentioned as well—during a meeting with London Mayor Sadiq Khan about bringing WrestleMania to London.

The Game did not give a direct response but hinted at a potential release once the contracts are up for talents. It was a general statement without any mention of the talents:

"Just like any sport or business, we sign talent, their contracts run out, and we release talent. It’s part of the process. It’s ongoing," he said. [From 1:24 onwards]

Many months after sitting on the bench for WrestleMania 39, Bobby Lashley returned to SmackDown in 2023, recruiting The Street Profits. He later added B-Fab to the group. They were highlighted at WrestleMania XL with a huge win over The Final Testament in a Philadelphia Street Fight.

While Lashley was out, The Street Profits found themselves in a pickle as Solo Sikoa's Bloodline took them out on numerous occasions. With Roman Reigns returning to the blue brand this week, it's safe to assume WWE would want to shift gears with a rivalry between the 'Tribal Chiefs' of The Bloodline.
