Bobby Lashley was let go by WWE in August 2024 after his contract expired. He is now a free agent.
Major wrestling promotions such as TNA and AEW certainly have an interest in signing him. Before he can get to any of that, Lashley took a minute to look back. His last program in WWE was with Karrion Kross. The two locked horns at WrestleMania XL alongside their respective factions. Reflecting on this rivalry recently, The All Mighty shared an original idea he had for the program.
During a virtual signing with K & S WrestleFest, Bobby Lashley stated that he wanted to get into a real fight with The Doom Walker. He considered it in order to amp up their program. The two-time WWE Champion pointed to his opponent's background in mixed martial arts and boxing, remarking that there are not many athletes on the roster he can slug it out with. m
"There was one time we were starting our feud together. I was like, ‘Man, I think we should just get in a fight.’ Because there’s not too many people that I could actually do that with and Kross has the martial arts background and he has a boxing background, he has a jiu-jitsu background and for us, we were both itching to be a part of something and I was like, ‘Let’s just go and start slugging it out,’ and if people break it up, then it’s gonna help out our feud and I think it brings a lot more attention to it," Bobby Lashley recalled.

WWE did not put the spotlight on these two behemoths on the Road To WrestleMania XL as much as The All Mighty might have wanted. He added that it worked out for the best, nevertheless:
"But I think it just naturally brought some attention to it because I think a lot of people just wanted to see us and they wanted to see him and his group do something so it just kind of went together," Lashley concluded. [From 46:16 to 47:12]
Bobby Lashley puts over Karrion Kross as a formidable foe to the WWE World Champions
Cody Rhodes and Gunther are currently in possession of the two top titles in WWE. When discussing Karrion Kross, Bobby Lashley noted how The Final Testament is not doing Kross any favors at the moment. Instead, he stated the company is underutilizing The Doom Walker, and it should book the latter in storylines with The American Nightmare and The Ring General.
Karrion Kross recently shut down the rumors about having real-life heat with Bobby Lashley while also going on record to say that he looked up to the two-time WWE Champion.
