Braun Strowman and countless wrestlers use TikTok and other social media platforms to stay connected to the business. The WWE Universe was born from the social media era, and now everyone is facing massive changes. Strowman has reacted surprisingly to a potential controversy with the federal government.

The Monster of All Monsters and others are reacting to the TikTok situation as the Biden administration's looming deadline approaches. Last April, the president signed a law forcing the Chinese company ByteDance to divest its massive short-form video app by January 19 or face a ban in the United States. The app has over 170 million users in the US, including many of WWE's coveted demographics.

Strowman maintains a TikTok under his real name, but this is not his busiest social media account. The SmackDown star only follows nine others but has 248,800 followers, 1.2 million likes, and more than 150 uploads on the video app. He follows 1,692 others on Instagram and has 1.8 million followers. The former Wyatt Family member only follows two others on X and has 733,100 followers. WWE maintains the Strowman character's official Facebook page, which has 3.9 million followers.

Braun took to Instagram Stories today with a brief but telling reaction to a headline on TikTok deciding to cease all operations in the United States by next week's deadline unless the Supreme Court intervenes. Strowman did not caption the post, but his three peace sign emojis delivered the point, as he has no problem losing the social media app tied to the Chinese Communist Party.

The official WWE account on TikTok currently has 29.9 million followers, 885.4 million likes, and more than 6,300 uploads. After just over one year, the company reached its first 10 million followers on the platform in February 2021. That June, they partnered with TikTok and began hiring from the platform.

Braun Strowman rumored for WWE SmackDown rematch

Braun Strowman returned from a brief injury hiatus in mid-November, then invaded WWE SmackDown one month later as Carmelo Hayes' surprise opponent for a squash in under two minutes. Hayes won the rematch via count-out the following week and later attacked the former Universal Champion backstage with a chair.

After defeating Austin Theory on the final 2024 SmackDown and aligning with Sami Zayn to tangle with Hayes and The New Bloodline, Strowman did not appear in the first two episodes of this year. He was briefly mentioned by The King of Drop, fueling rumors of Strowman vs. Hayes III at an upcoming event.

Hayes' Strowman name-drop on Friday's SmackDown came after Hayes had tense words with Jimmy Uso. It was teased that we may see Hayes and Solo Sikoa take on Strowman and Uso.
