Brock Lesnar is an iconic WWE star who's been absent from the company for a while. Meanwhile, R-Truth recalled getting The Beast Incarnate out of character all for a bet with Paul Heyman.

In 2020, Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman crossed paths with R-Truth on Monday Night RAW. During the segment, Truth had an improvised line, which made The Beast Incarnate break character. However, it didn't help the veteran as he received an F5 to close the segment.

In an interview on INSIGHT with Chris Van Vliet, the 52-year-old WWE veteran was asked about the segment he was the most proud of. Truth detailed the backstage interaction with Paul Heyman, where the two had a bet that Truth could make Brock Lesnar break character on live TV. Moreover, the segment wasn't rehearsed or revealed to The Beast Incarnate.

“Probably Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar. The thing with that was, I come to Gorilla and Paul was there. He’s like, ‘Hey, we got a bet going on.’ I was like, ‘What bet?’ He’s like, ‘That you can make Brock laugh.’ I said, ‘What do you mean?’ He said, ‘We’re not going to tell him what you want to say, we don’t want to hear what you want to say. We just go.’ I said, ‘Man, I think we should let Brock know what we’re gonna do.’ He said, ‘Nope, we’re not gonna let Brock know it all.’ And that was the most impromptu thing that just came off like sliced bread. It was just great," Truth said. [H/T - CVV]

Ex-WWE star recalls working with Brock Lesnar

Brock Lesnar has worked with different stars in WWE under both regimes before he went on a hiatus following a loss to Cody Rhodes at WWE SummerSlam 2023. However, some questionable choices were made with the UFC star under the old regime.

In 2019, Brock Lesnar won the Money in the Bank contract, which was a last-minute call. In an interview with Chris Van Vliet, Mustafa Ali recalled working with The Beast Incarnate and stated he was a pro in performing the impromptu segment during the Ladder match.

"And I’m watching this, I’m like, he’s gonna murder me. I hope I’m not destroying the mystique of Brock here, but what a pro. Gets in the ring, grabs me, looks up to me. He’s like, ‘Hey, kid you ready?’ And I’m like yeah. Okay, nice and easy, one, two. And the thing is, he was so nice about the push," Ali said.
