Brock Lesnar sent WWE legend a three-word message after horrible injury

Brock Lesnar is known for being one of the biggest stars to have ever entered a WWE ring. The 47-year-old has done all that he can to remain at the top of the roster whenever he is present in the promotion.

Now, a WWE legend has shared a story of what Lesnar told him after suffering a horrifying injury. The legend sharing the story is Kurt Angle.

Kurt Angle and Brock Lesnar were locked in a feud back in 2003, which led to a match at WrestleMania 19. Heading into the match, Angle was the WWE Champion but needed to drop the title so that he could have the surgeries he needed at the time. Unfortunately, during the match, while trying to hit a Shooting Star Press, Lesnar landed short and on his neck. He ended up with a concussion and could hardly remember what to do for the rest of the bout.

In an interview with Inside the Ropes, Kurt Angle described what happened in the ring during the moment and what message Brock Lesnar sent to him when he was telling him what to do. Angle told Lesnar to kick out of the cover, and he did so. Angle then checked on him, asking if he was okay, only to get three words: "I think so."

"I cover Brock to cover it up so it didn't look like a f*** up. I said Brock, you have to kick, you have to kick. He kicked out. I said, 'Brock, are you okay?' He said, 'I think so.' So, I look at the ref, saying, 'What the f*** am I going to do?' He said, 'Get him up, just have him do the F5 to you.' I said, 'Good idea.' So I go to lift him up, and as I'm picking him up, he's heavy as hell. I say, 'Brock, are you okay?' He said, 'I think so.' (4:42 - 5:17)

Those three words were all the star could say at the time.

WWE star Brock Lesnar hit Kurt Angle with the F5 but forgot to cover him until told

At the end of the day, Lesnar was able to hit Kurt Angle with the F5. However, The Beast Incarnate was apparently still woozy after suffering a concussion, and he forgot to pin his opponent.

Angle asked Brock to cover him after the F5, further guiding the big man to finish the bout. In the same interview with Inside the Ropes, Angle expressed relief that they were able to wrap it up after Lesnar's concussion, and he further praised the 47-year-old for his toughness.

Brock Lesnar covered him and won, thus ending the WWE match despite the horrible botch and injury.
