Wrestling legend Kenny Bolin recently spoke about Brock Lesnar's early days in professional wrestling. The Beast was part of an elite group of rookies in Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW), which also included John Cena, Batista, and Randy Orton.
Lesnar has had a Hall of Fame-worthy career in WWE. He has won several world titles, besides competing in multiple WrestleMania main events. The Beast also ended The Undertaker's streak at WrestleMania 30. However, the veteran's illustrious career has also had some controversies along the way.
During an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling, Kenny Bolin recalled how Brock Lesnar once behaved inappropriately with Jim Cornette's wife in OVW. Cornette, who ran the promotion back then, threatened to shoot Lesnar and drove him out of the developmental territory. However, WWE soon hired him and put the title on him, much to the shock of Cornette and Bolin.
"I remember when Brock was with us at Ohio Valley Wrestling, he got fired for doing something that he shouldn't have done with Cornette's wife. Cornette threatened to shoot him in the parking lot and Brock went away. We thought that Brock was done. We didn't think he could do that with a female on a live television show and get by with it. And then we see, 30-60 days or 90 days later, he's the world champion. Jim said, 'Well, they showed him. You can't do that stuff, here's the world title. What else would you like to do?' Unbelievable." [From 18:58 onwards]

Brock Lesnar hasn't been seen on WWE TV since SummerSlam 2023, where he faced off against Cody Rhodes. However, The Beast got several mentions during Paul Heyman's biography episode on A&E. This week at SummerSlam, Michael Cole also name-dropped Lesnar while recounting CM Punk's opponents at The Biggest Party of the Summer.
It will be interesting to see whether Brock Lesnar returns to WWE anytime soon.
