Bron Breakker and Sami Zayn are set to collide for the Intercontinental Championship at the Money in the Bank 2024 Premium Live Event. Breakker ran through Zayn on the go-home episode of RAW before the event and warned the champion after the show.
Sami Zayn ended Gunther’s iconic Intercontinental Championship reign at WrestleMania XL. Since then, The Underdog from the Underground has defended his title against Chad Gable and Bronson Reed, but Bron Breakker is a different athlete altogether.
The former NXT Champion was among the first men to pin Gunther in WWE. While speaking on RAW Talk, Bron Breakker discussed his upcoming match against Zayn.
"He has the veteran’s advantage going in. But Sami Zayn seems to think that this match is just like any other obstacle that he’s ever had to overcome in his entire career. He thinks that I’m just like anyone else, that I’m just like any other rookie that gets called up here and is just full of excitement to be here, is hungry, and then gets whipped in the veteran in their very first match and gets the handshake of respect and then to the back of the line," Bron Breakker said.
The Big Bad Booty Nephew added that Sami had never faced a competitor like him in the past and that would allow him to humiliate the veteran in front of his home crowd:
"He has no idea what he is in for on Saturday. I promise you, Sami Zayn, I’m walking into Money in the Bank, in your home country, in Toronto, in that arena, when all those people are gonna be chanting your name, I’m gonna take it away from them, I’m gonna take it away from you, I’m gonna beat you and stand on business in Canada and become the new Intercontinental Champion." Bron Breakker sent the Intercontinental Champion a loud and clear message by taking him down with two Spears on RAW. However, it will be interesting to see whether the 26-year-old star emerges victorious against Sami or not.
Bron Breakker could beat Sami Zayn at WWE Money in the Bank
A NXT star rarely gets called up to the WWE main roster and is presented as an unstoppable force. Gunther got that push a couple of years ago, but no one has gotten a similar treatment ever since.
Triple H has seen what Bron Breakker can do in the ring during his time in NXT. That could push him to give The Big Bad Booty Nephew a similar run on the main roster and possibly make him the next Brock Lesnar of the company.
Many fans and critics believe that the former NXT Champion has all the tools to become a top name in the company. He is fast, athletic, and freakishly strong. That could spell trouble for Sami Zayn.
It could lead to his first title win on the WWE main roster at Money in the Bank. A win over Sami Zayn will surely put Breakker among the top stars on the RAW brand.
