Bron Breakker recently won the Intercontinental Championship. His next title challenger was decided tonight on WWE RAW.
Breakker's rise in WWE has been nothing short of meteoric. Ever since his start in NXT, it didn't take him long to stand out as a top star. He dominated his opponents in NXT for several years before moving up to the main roster.
Once Breakker arrived on the main roster, it didn't take long for him to go after his first championship. He defeated Sami Zayn for the Intercontinental Championship at WWE SummerSlam. Since winning the title, he has already defended once.
Given his dominating presence, WWE was already on the lookout for his next challenger, and a tournament was announced to determine the next number one contender. After a series of Triple Threat matches, Ilja Dragunov, Braun Strowman, Jey Uso, and Pete Dunne made it to the finals tonight on RAW.
The match was every bit as physical as fans expected. During the contest, Strowman looked unstoppable. However, he was taken out by Bronson Reed. Ilja Dragunov came close to winning when he hit the H bomb on Dunne. However, Jey Uso superkicked him and then hit the splash on Dunne for the win.
With this win, Jey Uso will be next in line to face Bron Breakker for the Intercontinental Championship.
